I choose this picture as an example of good balance, because it is horizontally symmetrical. This ad really catches your eye, because of the exact opposition of the hands, box, and vase.
I choose this advertisement as my example of bad balance, because the picture is so weighted on one side. The color, wording, and sidewalk are all emphasized on the left side and there is nothing on the right to balance the picture out.
Great examples and explanations! The example of bad design really does lacks balance. I think it could have been simply fixed by adding some text on the right side of the sidewalk. Great job!
